Angelini Technologies, a company of Angelini Industries active through its subsidiary Fameccanica, in industrial automation and robotics for logistics, reported revenues of €390.6 million in 2025 (+59.6% compared to 2024), 93% of which were generated from exports, with a further increase of over 20% expected by 2027. EBITDA also recorded strong growth, reaching €50.1 million (+108.5% year-on-year), driven by the company’s scale expansion.
To support this growth trajectory, the company plans to hire approximately 200 employees over 2026–27 across Italy—where it operates in the Abruzzo sites of San Giovanni Teatino (CH) and Alanno (PE)—and the United States. In 2026, total headcount is expected to exceed 800 employees globally.
“Following Angelini Industries’ acquisition of full control of the company in 2022—previously a 50/50 joint venture with P&G—we launched a strategic path of investment and business diversification aimed at unlocking the growth potential of Angelini Technologies – Fameccanica,” says Sergio Marullo di Condojanni, CEO of Angelini Industries. “The strong growth in revenues and margins recorded in 2025 demonstrates the effectiveness of these decisions and opens up further opportunities for development in the near future, with an even stronger focus on international expansion and increasingly advanced technological innovation in converting and robotics.”
“The 2025 results confirm our position as a global leader in the converting sector for personal hygiene and home care products and also highlight our ability to establish ourselves in a high-growth area such as robotics applied to logistics,” comments Luigi De Vito, CEO of Angelini Technologies – Fameccanica. “We delivered outstanding organic growth and see a clear path to a truly transformative development journey, driven by the vision and commitment of our shareholder and by the capabilities of our more than 700 employees, to whom I extend my deepest thanks.”
Converting on the Rise – Acceleration in Robotics
Angelini Technologies – Fameccanica operates in the Converting sector, namely the design and manufacturing of industrial machinery for the production of personal hygiene and home care products—such as diapers and detergent pods—as well as in Robotics applied to warehouse logistics and parcel handling.
- In the Converting segment, the company’s core business since 1975, Angelini Technologies – Fameccanica reported a 25% increase in revenues in 2025 compared to the previous year, driven by growth in both the Home & Personal segment (industrial machinery to produce home care products) and the Hygiene segment (industrial machinery for personal hygiene products).
- The contribution of robotics solutions for the logistics sector to revenues grew rapidly in 2025, reaching 34% of total revenues. This share is expected to approach 50% in 2026, also supported by a record order intake of €148 million (+5% vs. 2024) achieved in 2025.
To further expand its portfolio of proprietary solutions in this area, in 2026 Angelini Technologies acquired a minority stake in Lab0, a robotics startup headquartered in the United States with an R&D center in Genoa, Italy. Lab0 has developed an advanced autonomous material handling system, focused on loading and unloading parcels from containers and trucks, with the potential to transform one of the key processes in global logistics, which is still predominantly manual today.
- Service activities, supporting the operation of production lines delivered and active worldwide, recorded a 9% increase in 2025, driven by the company’s strategy of maintaining close proximity to its key customers across different geographies.
Increased Investment in R&D
In 2025, Angelini Technologies – Fameccanica invested €9 million in research and development, up 20% compared to 2024. This investment supported not only the further automation of production processes through digitalization and artificial intelligence systems, but also the continued development of technological solutions for battery manufacturing using laser technology.
The system, which leverages Angelini Technologies – Fameccanica’s expertise in converting, is currently in the final stage of industrialization and is capable of cutting aluminum and copper layers with high precision and speed. This enables the production of batteries in various sizes and formats, primarily for energy storage applications (such as photovoltaic systems and power plants) and, subsequently, for the automotive sector.
Strengthened Presence in the United States
In 2026, Angelini Technologies – Fameccanica launched an expansion project in the United States—its primary market for technological solutions—with the aim of strengthening relationships with its U.S. partners and customers and growing within an industrial and academic ecosystem characterized by outstanding innovation and technological development capabilities.
- In April 2026, a new robotics R&D hub was inaugurated in Boston. The facility, which will employ 25 professionals—including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and advanced robotics specialists—within the next two years, spans a total area of 1,700 square meters (approximately 18,000 sq ft). It will serve as a testing ground for prototype robots designed for automated warehouses in the large-scale retail and e-commerce sectors, including the technological solution developed by Lab0.
- By 2026, the production capacity of the Cincinnati, OH plant—where Angelini Technologies – Fameccanica has operated since 2009—is also expected to double, expanding from approximately 7,000 to 14,000 square meters to meet (approximately 150,000 sq ft) growing demand in the U.S. market.
